My first ever protests and I must say I am overwhelmed by the unity and humbleness of some of the people there. Hundred of people showed up next to the famous Kings University entrance to share their views on Donald Trump and protest against Muslim Ban, Travel Ban, Wall Ban, homophobic and racist and ageist and fascist and sexist comments.
However there was a strong current theme of refugees and lots of the groups suggested other ways to help refugees such as donating clothes, sleeping bags to give to those sleeping on the streets of many towns and cities across Europe.
There was one point in-between the heartfelt chanting and savage shouting in which we stood together being asked to reach out to one stranger near you and form a heart shape with a hand each. This moment was the optimum point of the night spreading not only the love but the unity that we as humans have the right to stand by.
A rather amusing comment by a local ex Labour MP was: "When they stop behaving like demons we'll stop demonising them". This was long with many chants to pop songs such as 'Eye of the tiger', 'My Milkshake brings all the boys to the yard', 'We will rock you' and more.
"I am unapologetically human" - a Muslim American Labour Activist shouted.
