Following an exceptionally chaotic day we planned to go to one of my favourite aspects of Amsterdam - The Van Gogh Museum. Having pre booked our free of cost tickets we without hassle entered the Museum of one of the most intriguing art galleries in the Netherlands containing the biggest Van Gogh collection in the world. I personally felt pride as we walked around but having studied this artists short but audacious life story it was striking to learn even more about the work. We however, quickly began to feel yesterdays energy loss catching up on us and it resulted in us sitting on a bench staring at the same artwork (cannot even remember which one) for a full 12min. Frustration evoked swiftly at the dozens of tourist groups and we were unable to enjoy it any longer and so we headed out.
Chilling out a little bit more we headed for brunch at La Place by tram. La Place is an organic grown buffet with freshly prepared foods from all over the world and was definitely what we needed to kick start our jubilant moods. Once filled up we headed to a not yet explored part of Amsterdam reviewing the music gig we had gone to the day before but again we began to get tired so before heading back to the apartment we stopped at Het Paleis and topped up with some dutch Apple cake and tea. We were lucky to have headed home after that as the rain started to fall down; we all showered and changed into some neater clothes and proceeded to make supper for the three of us as Eleanor was not home. Our brilliant plan to each chose a part of the supper collapsed as we sat down to eat. I had given myself the task of a Cheese soufflé, Mia the Sweet Potato chips and Tess was on the salad but we soon realised that the cheesy soufflé wasn't done yet and had to go back into the oven, the potato chips were still raw and the salad was too small. it was clear to see we were all very tired.
To end our lowkey chilled day I took the girls up to the W Hotel roof top bar where my cousin used to work and we very much enjoyed our view of the sunset over this small yet traditional built city. We could see for miles and it was engaging to see the fine line between the new and the old and the urban and stingy parts of the city. But we soon felt too tired to film any more and so the day came to a close as I personally had a long day ahead of myself.
